Zoning information · Complimentary for clients
Know what you can do with a property, before you commit
Before you buy, sell, build, renovate or change how a property is used, you need straight answers. What is allowed? How much can you build? What is recorded against the land? What would approvals involve? As a complimentary service for my clients, I research a property against the town’s public records and deliver the findings to a private online portal built just for you, with every fact sourced and dated.
It starts with a conversation
Every report begins with a phone call. Once you submit a request, I’ll reach out to talk through your property and what you’re hoping to do with it. That conversation lets me focus the research on the questions that matter to you, so please share the best number to reach you.
Each request is personally reviewed and approved by me before research begins. Reports are prepared only after we’ve spoken.
Tell me what you’re planning
- Develop or subdivide. Can the lot be split, and what would it take?
- Renovate or add on. How much room is left under the setbacks, height and coverage limits?
- Add an ADU. Is an accessory dwelling allowed, and under what conditions?
- Buy or sell with confidence. Know the property’s potential before you make a move.
- Commercial or change of use. Is the intended use permitted, conditional or prohibited?
Planning an addition? Try Add It Up Clients only
Add It Up is a payback calculator for renovations. Enter the home’s value, the square feet you would add and what it costs per square foot, and see what you would spend, what the bigger home could be worth and what you would keep. It works in English and Spanish.

Example with made-up numbers. Budgetary planning only, not a bid, quote or appraisal.
It is a client service. For existing clients it appears as a Tools tab inside your private report. Ask Marc to turn it on for your report.
